She was predeceased by : her parents, John Milton and Thelma Marie Hedges (Clark); her son Curtis Gunther; her daughter-in-law Rogene Gunther; her siblings, James Hedges and Peggy McCory; and her grandson Ryan Gunther.

She is survived by : her children, Dixie Battey (Randy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Bruce Gunther (Reggi) of Topeka, KS; her brother John C. Hedges (Sheila) of Augusta, GA; her grandchildren, Michael, Craig, Shaun, Jonathan, Lindsey and Joanna; her great grandchildren, Mason, Tanner, Hudson, Declan, Graham, Elian, James and Sierra; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Robert, Fabian and Alondra.
