He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Lowell and Ione Christine Sharp (Sanders); and his brother Daniel Sharp. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lynn Morgan; his sons, Brian Kelly Sharp (Felisa) of Topeka, KS and James Dennis Sharp (Kyndra) of Hiawatha, KS; and his sister Margie Sharp of Ellsworth, KS. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
