He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Hamlin and Marjorie F. Hamlin (Schmitt); his stepparents, Doris Dibbern (Purcell) and Loren; his grandfather Dibbern; and his half-brother Larry E. Proctor.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Bentley; his daughter Jennifer Lynn Hamlin of Topeka; his sister Barbara Huyett (Brent) of Holton; and his mother-in-law Ruby Elizabeth Behrends. He is also survived by his sisters-in law, 3 step siblings, many nieces and nephews, the "greatest" cousins.
