He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Layton and Thelma Layton (Huffman); his wife Betty Sweaney; and his brother Charles Layton. He is survived by : his daughters, Jan Osborn and Peggy Juaire (Lee) of Severy, KS; his grandson Cody Juaire; and his sister-in-law Shirley Brown. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
