It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosalie Pauline (Appelhans) Heier of Hoxie, Kansas, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph J. Appelhans and Katherine Appelhans (Richmeier); her husband Jake; her children, Robert and Carol; her siblings, Eleanor Dinkel, Mary Evers, Sister Gilberta Appelhans, Clara Dinkel, Louella Zerr, Alfred Appelhans, Edwin Appelhans, Kenneth Appelhans and Ralph Appelhans; and her grandson Lane Vickers.

She is survived by : her children, Richard Heier (Glenda), Debra Vickers (Kelly) of Hoxie and Norma LeHew of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren, Aimee Vickers, Kelsi Bartlett (Adam), Jamie Hoyt (Chris), Trisha Hoover, Jordan Vickers (Erika), Andrew Hoover (Stashi), Kara Scott (Bronson), Corey Heier and Robert Campbell; her great grandchildren, Taelynn, Eislee, McKinley Scott, Lyla Vang, Grayson, Jovie, Emery, Julian Bartlett, Alexa Vickers, Kaitlin, Lennan Hoyt, Jameson Hoover, Addison and Ava Campbell; and her sisters-in-law, Darlene Appelhans and Doris Appelhans.
