It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Slater of Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Osceola, Missouri, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar E. Payton and Dortha G. Payton (Stone); her brothers, Tommy Payton and George Payton; and her son Doug Payton.

She is survived by : her brothers, David Payton (Margaret) of Milo, MO and Earl Payton (Lynn) of Charleston, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
