He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis and Dorothy Nafzinger (Hines); his wife Ruth; and his brother Larry Nafzinger. He is survived by: his children, David Nafzinger (Pam) of Hutchinson, Jackie Burdick (Dave) of Valley Center and Debi Swett-Esslinger (Galen) of Wichita. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
