We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2021, at the age of 76, Richard Barta of Independence, Kansas, born in Hastings, Nebraska passed away. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Barta and Shirley Barta (Stewart); and his granddaughter Kacee McDade. He is survived by : his wife Joy Yung; his sons, Darin Barta (Cindy) and Travis Barta (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Lucas Barta, Eric McDade (Michelle) and TeeJay McDade (Chasidy); his great grandchildren, Damien, Rebecca, Hailey, Jonah and Tanner; and his sister Kiley Harris (Rick). He is also survived by many friends and the 4 legged friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 20th 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Webb Rodrick Chapel (306 W Main St, Independence, KS 67301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 21st 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Wesley Center (111 E Maple St, Independence, KS 67301).
