He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis F. Brost Jr. and Ruth Brost (Vandermark); his spouse Carrol Ann Wilson; his sisters, Verla Dean Garner and Carol Marie Kemp; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Trolope, Jack Garner and Richard Kemp.

He is survived by : his son Lewis Brost (Diana) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kris Brost (Cheryl) of Bartlesville, Rachel Downing (Dack) of Moscow and Madison Brost of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Logan and Ember Brost of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; his siblings-in-law, Gloria Emerson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rick Trolope of Independence, Kansas; and his friends, Clyde and Evelyn Colbert of Mexico, Missouri.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
