It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Sweany of Jetmore, Kansas, born in Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Richard V. Sweany and Helen R. Klocke Sweany; his wife Alice Ferguson; his children, Erika Craghead (Kent) of Jetmore, KS, Timothy Sweany (Cherie) of Chicago, IL and Patrick Sweany (Danielle); his sister Kathy Tuttle (Merle) of Salina, KS; and his grandchildren, Drew, Tyler and Jacob.

Memorials may be given to the Hodgeman County 4-H Building Fund or Hospice of the Prairie in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, Box 663 Jetmore, KS 67854.
