She is survived by: her siblings, Lawrence Slater (Marsha) of Pulteney, Susan Slater Gelder (Philip) of Penfield and Theresa Slater Harrington (Jeff) of Baltimore, Maryland.; her husband Richard S. Strait; her children, Deborah A. Strait of Rockford and David R. Strait (Nancy) of Bath; and her grandchildren, Joshua D. Strait of Bath and Courtney E. Strait of Bath.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Joyce.
