She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward John and Ruth Lillian Suydam (Bailey). She is survived by: her husband William Arthur Smiley, Jr.; and her children, Beth Philbrick (Rick) of Platte City, MO, Bill Smiley (Chris) of LaCrosse, WI, Susan Gilley of Louisburg, KS and Lynn Smiley (Peter Gilligan) of Chapel Hill, NC.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
