He is survived by: his stepchildren, Eric Pope (Jenniphr), Jeff Pope, John Pope (Ursula), Elaine Roseberry (Jay), Mary Jane Joyce (Steve), Scott Mize (Phyllis), Mark Shumate (Darcy), David Shumate (Carol) and Melissa Shumate. He is also survived by grandchildren.
