He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Robinson Cowan; his mother Ollie Glenn Langan; his stepfather Cecil Langan; his siblings, Warren Langan, Richard Langan and Gerri Langan Able; his siblings' children, Darrell Able and Jackie Able; his great grandchild Haley Grey; and his sister-in-law Olive Saunders.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Cowan Mooney and Paul Cowan; his daughter-in-law Mary Beth Cowan; his granddaughters, Tia Mooney, Genella Schmitt (Raymond Schmitt), Marina Cowan, Olivia Cowan Tabor (Justin Tabor) and Natalie Cowan; and his great grandchildren, Noah Carlson, Jared Carlson, Jase Carlson, Justin Grey, Emily Grey and Shaley Schmitt.
