He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Maxine Burkard and Lawrence A. Burkard of Kansas City; his brothers, Michael Burkard of Bonner Springs and Richard Burkard of Owensboro, Kentucky; and his nieces, Penny Eckert of Lawrence, KS, Jennifer Meyer of Kansas City and Heather Von Bevern of Kansas City. He was also cherished by five grandnieces and one grandnephew.
