He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Childress; his children, Bettina Matthews (Jeffrey Sr.), Jerrold Childress Jr. (Paula), Deba Briscoe and Khalilah Smith; his grandchildren, Ayesha Matthews, Jeffrey Matthews Jr., Tyrell Childress, Simone Smith, Jordan Smith, Nicole Childress and Xavier Smith; and his former wife Dorothy Childress. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
