She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ropp and Mona Ropp; her husbands, Frank Gay and Charles Palmer; her sister Helen Manes; and her grandson Toby Vitatoe.

She is survived by: her children, James Vitatoe, Jr., Mona Hayden Salazar (Martin) and Guy Vitatoe; and her grandchildren, Cassie Berry (Brian), Heather Balcom (Marvin, Sr.), Heidi Hayden, Lance Hayden, Jennifer Losensky (Frank) and Vincent Vitatoe Johnny (Kimberly). She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
