She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Martin-Ellis and Plummie Martin-Ellis; and her husband Lugene Garrett. She is survived by: her children, Fred Grant (Lisa), Patrice Ellis, Marquis Garrett, DaQuasha Garrett, Kevinnette Garrett and Faith Garrett; her brothers, Randolph Ellis, George Ellis (Cynthia), J. C. Ellis (Deitri) and Dwight Ellis; her aunt Ernestine Pittman; her grandchildren, Camry Grant, Alexis Grant, Shamonte Johnson, Demonte Johnson, MyKesha Grant and Fred Ellis; and her close friend Pat. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
