She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Lee Byers; her brother Arther Byers; and her grandson Xavier Townsend. She is survived by: her children, LaVeeda Cannady (Evan) of Kansas City, Kansas and Ronald Boggess, Sr. (Melissa) of Kansas City, Kansas; her grandchildren, Xaire Townsend, Devan Harris, Shaun Cannady, Jr., Jayden Boggess, Cameron Boggess, Elijah McKoy, Naveah Boggess and Carter Boggess; her great grandchild Xanai Townsend; her father Samuel Byers, Sr.; and her siblings, Elizabeth Atkins and Sam Byers, Jr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forest Grove Baptist Church (1417 N 9th St, Kansas City, KS 66101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
