He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Young and Viola Young (Bryant); his children, Stephen of Baltimore, Natalie, Lynne, Tanya of Baltimore and Robert Michael; and his brother Eugene Young. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was also an advanced Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow based on his exemplary support of the Lion's Club International Foundation, the President Claude M. DeVorss Fellow and a W.P Woods Fellow.
