With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Fern Brumit Hellman of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Slater, Missouri, who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel Brumit and Mary Etta Brumit (Cook); her husband Jack W. Hellman; her in-laws, Christian and Eva Hellman; her siblings, Lela Eileen (Stanley R. Page), Edith (Arthur "Art" Twilling), Dorothy Mildred (Wallace M. Metcalfe), Russell Otis (Ruby H. Peterson Brumit), Wayne Eugene Brumit and Wilmer "Bill" J. (Mary Katherine Spreitzer Brumit); and her brother-in-law Rick (Jane Van Doren).
She is survived by: her son Gary B. Hellman; her grandchildren, Chad J. Hellman and Kyley B. Engle (Todd); and her great grandchildren, Lillian J. and Aidan T. Hellman.
In lieu of donations the family suggests to plant a tree or other perennials in Mary's memory.
