She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Schmidling and Irene Schmidling (Crook); her husband Ernie; her parents-in-law, Ralph and Bernice DeMaranville; her son-in-law Dean Zule; her great grandchild Frankie DeMaranville; her brother Vincent E.; her siblings-in-law, Glenda Schmidling and David DeMaranville; and her niece Melissa DeMaranville.
She is survived by: her children, Gail DeMaranville-Zule, Rita Herken (Tim), Richard DeMaranville (Lisa), Mark DeMaranville (Carol) and Paul DeMaranville (Sherry); her sister Darla Asher (Danny); and her siblings-in-law, Robert Daryl DeMaranville (Linda) and Kelli DeMaranville. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic Church (306 N Broadway St, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph–St. Lawrence Parish or Apple Orchard Hospice.
