He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Oliver; and his parents, Hudson L. McGuire and Ruth Benner (Schott). He is survived by: his daughter Colleen McGuire (Tom Dunn). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
