With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Yvonne Speer in Leawood, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 31, 2025 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Otto "Bud" Mitchum and Maxine M. Mitchum (Seute); her sons, Adam Speer and Richard V. Speer II; and her husband Richard V. Speer.

She is survived by: her son Lucas Speer (April); her grandchildren, Megan Speer, Isabella Speer and Adam Speer; her daughter-in-law Molly Speer; her brothers, Bud Mitchum (Sharon) and Bob Mitchum; and her siblings' children, J. T. Mitchum, Phillip Mitchum, Nicholas Mitchum, Melody Mead and Melissa Paterson.
