He was predeceased by: his sister Clara Mufuka. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Gertrude Sickles Mufuka; his sons, Douglas Garikai Mufuka, Jr. (Penny) of Leawood, KS and Stephen Nyamayaro Mufuka (Luciana) of Middletown, DE; his siblings, Mabel Mufuka of Zimbabwe, Mary Mufuka of Zimbabwe, Dr. Kenneth Mufuka of McCorimck, SC, Howard Mufuka of Lobeco, SC, Joseph of Zimbabwe and Richard Mufuka of Zimbabwe; and his grandsons, Marcus Stephen Mufuka and Arthur Nyamayaro Mufuka.

Memorials may be made to Lander University c/o The Mufuka Scholarship or to The Salvation Army.
