He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Josephine V. W. Foster and A. Durwood Foster. He is survived by : his parents, Jeanne F. Melhinch (Charles E. Melhinch) and Robin V. W. Foster (Barbara L. Foster); his siblings, Michael T. Foster and Emily J. Black (Chase A. Black); his grandparents, Patricia F. McCarty and Albert A. of Zutter; his aunts, Catherine R. Foster, Margaret M. McGonigle (Mark T. McGonigle) and Mary P. Barron; his uncle Thomas J. of Zutter; and his nephew Brooks C. Black.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Leawood United Methodist Church (2915 W 95th St, Leawood, KS 66206).
