It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Wayne Hohenstein of Lenexa, Kansas, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on September 7, 2020, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hohenstein and Lillian Hohenstein (Hunt); and his sister Sarah Mertes (Jack). He is survived by: his wife Vicki Stene; his close friend Vicki; his son Andrew; his grandchildren, Madelyn and William of Omaha; his daughter Anna Shepperd (Trevor); his grandsons, Samuel and Louis of Denver; and his brothers, William Hohenstein (Suzie) of Michigan and James Hohenstein (Jill) of Omaha. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
