He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Preston and Eunice Earline Paul (Rhodes); and his brother Gerald Paul. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Paul; his daughters, Erika Claire (Patrick O'Leary) and Vanessa Paul (Roman Patterson); his granddaughters, Virginia Rose and Frances Carolyn; and his sister Carolyn (Lonnie Bramlett).

Memorial Donations may be given to the Salvation Army.
