He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sargent and Stella Schultz Sargent; his siblings, Marjorie Bottum, Robert Sargent and Mildred Kirby; and his adoptive son Michael Sargent.
He is survived by: his children, Martin (Roxane Sargent) and Misty (Bill Wilkinson); his grandchildren, Matthew Sargent (April), Nathan Sargent (Lauren), Elizabeth Schnieders, Emily Wilkinson, Elle Wilkinson and Ethan Sargent; and his great grandchildren, Cole Sargent, Carter Sargent, Hadley Sargent and Cooper Sargent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Pkwy., Kansas City, KS 66104 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
