He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoestje and Louise Hoestje (Klutman); and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Gerdes, Berneice Hoestje and Denzil Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Marie Kruse; his children, Sara Hoestje and John Hoestje (Erin); his grandchildren, Elijah Hoestje of Lenexa, KS, Lauren Hoestje of Lenexa, KS, Kara Johnson of Lenexa, KS and Anna Johnson of Lenexa, KS; his siblings, Lois Gerdes of McLean, NE, Linda Hewitt (Jack) of Pilger, NE, Richard Hoestje (Pat Hulse) of Wahoo, NE and Wil Hoestje (Sue) of Beloit, KS; and his sister-in-law Ruth Cooper of Perham, MN. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service Due to the pandemic restrictions, the initial funeral will be limited to immediate family with plans for a celebration of life once we can all gather over food in Bremen, Kansas.
