She was predeceased by: her mother Shirley Lillian Lewis; her husband Gene Shepherd; her son Jonathan Copeland; and her sister Constance Adkins. She is survived by: her brother Charlie Decker (Michelle) of Shawnee; her niece Maddy Calvello of Shawnee; her stepson Gene Shepherd (Mary); her daughter-in-law Cathy Crabtree; her nephew James Adkins (Rachel); and her close friends, Michael Carl and Jared Covert of Lenexa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy's name to the University of Kansas Medical Center Cancer Research or Good Shepherd Hospice.
