He was predeceased by: his wife Johanna "Bonnie" Veronica Schwed; his children, Tom, Tim and Johanna Marie; and his grandsons, John of Lawrence, III and Mark.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Joyce), Mike and Larry (Susan). He is also survived by 6 children came 17 grandchildren, over 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
