He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Scholl and Helen Tomory Scholl. He is survived by: his wife Susan Mercer Scholl; his sisters, Marjorie Vaccaro and Joan Scholl; his nephew Michael; his sons, David and Brian Scholl; and his granddaughter Allison Scholl of Chicago.

The family requests no flowers and suggests memorial contributions be to the American Cancer Society.
