He was predeceased by : his parents, Elvin Bishop and Inez Henry Bishop; his wife Elizabeth Jane Pflaumer; and his siblings, LoRee Scott and Leslie Merle Bishop.

He is survived by : his son Kelly Bishop (Chris) of Leoti; his granddaughter Kyla (Paden Owens) of Leoti; and his great grandchildren, Kelly Bishop Owens, Mesa Rae Owens, Mercy Johanna Owens and Raegan Leola Owens of Leoti. He is also survived by five nieces, five nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Museum of the Great Plains and the Leoti EMS.
