He was predeceased by : his parents, Emery Ahlstedt and Hazel Ahlstedt (Swedberg); and his brother Gordon Ahlstedt. He is survived by : his wife Catherine; his children, Michelle Cusumano (Bobby), Diana Holloway (Dan), Susan Ahlstedt, Mike Ahlstedt (Sarah), Steve Ahlstedt (CC), Travis Basgall (Melissa) and Scott Peavler (Zaidinette); his siblings, Earl Ahlstedt and Elly Ostlind; his mother-in-law Helen Smith; his sisters-in-law, Cindy Warren and Connie Corcoran (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Nevin Barker, Mackenna Barker, Kendall Barker, Crimson Barker, Jadyn Barker, Abby Holloway, Anna Holloway, Ally Holloway, Adriel Holloway, Amy Holloway, Caleb Holloway, Austin Heiling (Sidney), Derek Ahlstedt, Jason Ahlstedt, Riley Ahlstedt, Avery Ahlstedt, Allison Korb, Kaden Korb and Brooklyn Basgall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Lindsborg Evangelical Covenant Church, the Salina Rescue Mission or the Smoky Valley Historical Society.
