With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Lee Spence of Lyons, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on April 11, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Spence and Doris Miller Spence; his son Roddy; and his brother Dennis Spence. He is survived by : his wife Helen Barrett; and his children, Grady Spence of Hutchinson, Cheston Spence of Omaha, NE, Sterling Spence of Hutchinson and Lisa Roberts (Jason) of Stanten, CA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Friends of Animals Rice County or the American Diabetes Association in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
