It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Marie Copeland of Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Metheny and Florence Metheny; her husband Jimmy Copeland; and her grandson Zachary James Copeland. She is survived by: her children, Lana Copeland of Manhattan, KS, Jana Baker (Kevin) of Manhattan, KS and James Copeland (Angela) of La Salle, CO.; her grandchildren, Brent Kolterman (Kallie), Becky Marsh (Matt), Brandon Baker, Ryan Baker (Megan), Alyssa King-Copeland and Jacob Copeland (Emily); her great grandchildren, Jenna, Takara, Tarik, Jaden, Kalan, McKenzie, Kanton and Knox; and her siblings, Ruthie Steinle (Leonard), Bonnie Boys (Leonard), Frank Metheny (Jana), Jeanette Wilke (Scott) and Annette Look (Chet).
Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice of Manhattan, Kansas, and can be sent to the mortuary.
