He is survived by: his wife June Benedict; his daughter Terri Benedict Herde; his son-in-law John Herde; his grandchildren, Laura Herde, Bryan Herde and Katy Herde; and his brother Jack Benedict (Jan) of Arizona.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Meadowlark Hills Good Samaritan Fund or the First United Methodist Church.
