He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew Harmer and Rowena Harmer (Wampler); his brother Paul Harmer; and his grandson Tyler MaRay Harmer. He is survived by : his wife Ruby Mae Oehm; and his children, Carol Sandmann (Tom) of Marysville, Cathy Lehechka (Tom) of Marysville and Kevin Harmer (Sheri) of Marysville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
