He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Sedlacek and Rose M. Sedlacek (Fruh); and his siblings, Mildred Brown, Loretta Henshaw, Dolores Clark, Josephine Brown and Alvin Sedlacek (Louis Sedlacek).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Dixon (Carl) of Blue Rapids, KS, Betty Scheller (Jim) of Salina, KS, Peggy Perine (Mike) of Topeka, KS, Cyndi Novotny of Beatrice, NE and Regina Nixon (Robert) of Manhattan, KS; his sister Shirley Koehler of Hanover; and his close friend Norma Mitschler of Marysville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the St. Gregory's Catholic Church (1310 Carolina St, Marysville, KS 66508). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM.
A memorial fund has been established for St. Gregory's Catholic Church or Country Living in Marysville.
