He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Hartsook and Helen Hartsook (Welsch); his wife Judy; his sister Betty Malcolm; and his great grandchild Bennett Day.
He is survived by: his children, Dave Hartsook (Chris) of Waterville, Keith Hartsook (Lisa) of Herkimer and Deb Vacha (Keith) of Marysville; his brother Max Hartsook (Gerry Ann); and his grandchildren, Jessica Tryon-Koehler (Casey), Amber Hartsook (Josh Olvera), Mark Hartsook (Lauren), Kendra Boldra (Brett), Bobby Peugh (Wendy), Liz Schroeder (Lance), Chad Vacha (Rubiel) and Jen Macke (Nate).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kinsley Mortuary (1006 Broadway St, Marysville, KS 66508).
A memorial fund has been established to benefit the Marshall County Veterans Memorial Wall.
