Carl M. Gustafson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl M. Gustafson (McPherson, Kansas), who passed away on August 31, 2019, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl M. Gustafson to pay them a last tribute.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rena Sallman and Anton Gustafson March; his significant other Trula Emma Steuber; his children, Steven Carl, Trudy Kay, James Anton and Trudy Mills (Roger); his grandchildren, Eric Gustafson (Kara), Andrew Gustafson (Colleen), Ingrid Gustafson (David Rice), Emily Mills Marineau (Sebastien), John Mills (Shelby), Christina Mills White (Jared), Kristen Gustafson, James Gustafson (Ashley) and Caroline Gustafson; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Charlie, Carla, Evan Gustafson, Louise, Malin Mills, Madeleine White and Vincent Marineau; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Meyer, Alice Steuber, Wanda Steuber and Neal Steuber; and his sister Mabel Shugar. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Following Trula's death September 15, 2004, from Alzheimer's Disease, Carl went daily to the McPherson Senior Center, continued as a member of Lion's Club, and served the local VFW as chaplain for 21 years.
