It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Beverly Lou McKanna of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Wiley and Veta Wiley (Rathgeber); and her siblings, Charles "Bud" Wiley and Shirley Carroll. She is survived by: her husband James McKanna; her children, Janet Miller (Terry) of Salem, Mike McKanna, Carolyn of Attica and Christa Cartwright (Michael) of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; her siblings, Gary Wiley of Andover and Letha Strack of Medicine Lodge; her grandchildren, Haley Lipkin (Jack), Tad Smith (Martina), Kacie Dirks (Chuck), Brody VanDegrift (Heather), Corey McKanna (Crystal) and Kyle McKanna; and her great grandchildren, Makaveli Gresham, Asher Smith, Rick Dirks, Kason VanDegrift and Kamdyn VanDegrift.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church (300 S Main St, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Lincoln Library.
