He was predeceased by : his parents, Guy Nordyke and Elsie Nordyke (Morris); his siblings, Francis, Kenneth, Letha, Gladys and Marian; and his son-in-law Dave Rupert.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra; and his children, Cindy Rupert, Buck (Barbara) and Calvin (Becky). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Minneapolis Recreation Commission to be used for the baseball fields.
