He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas "Tom" Bowman and Carrie Theodoshia Shafer Bowman; his son Dale Eugene Bowman; and his siblings, Russell Dale Bowman and Eva Lucille Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Loree Kay Smith; his children, John Clayton Bowman Jr. "JC" (Margie), Cheryl Loree Webber (Jason), Aaron Mathaniel Bowman (Trish) and Joyce Baker (Andy); and his brother Clyde Thomas Bowman (Sharon). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schneider Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goodrich Cemetery.
