He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Wayne Shoop and Ruth Larcom; his wife Naomi Yvonne Shoop; his son Carter Lee Shoop; and his brothers, Orville and Walt Shoop.

He is survived by : his children, Raymond Wayne (Sharon Shoop) of Cherryvale and Beth Shinkle of Neodesha; his daughter-in-law Betty Shoop of Neodesha; and his siblings, Bud (Barbara Shoop) of Neodesha, Ruth McWhirt of Hawaii and Ester Martin of Arkansas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
