He was predeceased by : his parents, Manuel C. Schlegel and Wanda J. Schlegel (Adams); and his sister Loretta LaForte. He is survived by : his wife Darlene Joyce Schlegel (Grady); his sons, Rodney Manuel Schlegel II (Erica L. Schlegel) and Dejay Lynn Schlegel; his sisters, Linda Hadley (Steve), Nancy Thompson (Vincent), Norma Hamel (Mike) and Carolyn Garmen (Norman); and his grandchildren, Eian Eytcheson, Trinity Schlegel, Dejay Schlegel and Elliot Schlegel.
