He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Rebel and Helena Rebel (Zimmerman); and his siblings, Alvin, Gilbert, Issy Rebel, Martina Betz, Margaret Huelke, Josephine Basgall, Ruth Rupp, Janet Girard and Vera Munsch.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Rebel of Manhattan; his son Bradly Joseph Rebel (Sally) of Fort Mills, SC; his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Chandler; his son Bryan Leonard Rebel (Carla) of Overland Park; his grandchildren, Madison and Jackson; his daughter Kimberly Sue Schmidt (Scott) of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Braden, Brynley, Rebecca and Sara; his brother Ralph Rebel (Bonnie); and his sister-in-law Jenny Rebel of Ness City.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Purple Power Animal Welfare Society, Manhattan or Sacred Heart School, Ness City.
