He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Amon and Alma Amon (Ideker); his wife Judy K. Meyle; his son Dennis; his granddaughter Nicole Amon; and his brother Eugene.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Amon (Tina) of Whiting, Richard Amon (Donna) of Beach Island, SC and Debbie Butler (Chad) of Wichita, KS; his brother Larry Amon (Beth) of Netawaka; his grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary, Sophia, Brandon, Ashley, Crystal, Stacey, Michael, Dalton, Kaitlyn and Madison; and his great grandchild Karen Nix of Whiting.
