He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alvin, Mary Lou, Newell, George and Ruth Arlene; his daughter Beverly Rutschman (Melcher); his son-in-law Alan Rutschman; and his grandson Cory Rutschman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Melcher (Bliss); his daughter Kimberly Melcher of Colorado Springs; his grandson Kyle Rutschman of Hesston; and his brother Ralph Melcher of Lawton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Heights United Methodist Church.
